This isnt just a cool app. This might be the most useful app for baseball players, their parents and instructors. As a coach, Im always looking for new ways to communicate instruction. There isnt a more time efficient and cost effective way to accomplish this out there than using this app. High quality video, simple tools and easy way to receive feedback makes this a 5 star. Once you figure out how to get the right videos onto the iPad, the visualization is amazing!! Especially with a sample batter to compare to side by side!!! Note: send a single swing vid only. You will need to cut longer ones to size. Also, make sure batter is in middle of screen! Really need to be able to name the files. Ive got swings for about 15 girls and it takes forever to find the right one. Overall Great app--just needs a little work on managing the video files.

I really like this app. It is the best one of its kind that Ive been able to find for baseball swing analysis. It has lots of features that are not even in other apps Ive used such as: * a very nice scrub feature that does not interfere with the rest of the functions * excellent side-by-side comparison * voice-over annotations are a very good idea * The sharing capabilities are unmatched. Needs work: * Do not turn on archiving by default. It slows down the app considerably. Think about it. Most of the time, you are using this in the field with no WiFi, and you just want to quickly process the video clip and see it in slow motion. Archive on means it needs to upload the video to the web site after compression is finally done, and its just a pain. The docs arent clear on this, and it took me a while to figure out which option to turn off. * I think the player tag should be "sticky" so you dont have to add the label for every video when you are just working on one kids swing. * Allow longer videos to be compressed. I find it hard to find the right swing in a long video to choose, especially when the video came from the camera roll and it is rather long. If scrub were available for pre-imported videos, it would help in zeroing in on the section you want. Overall, a very polished app with decent documentation. I would definitely recommend this to coaches, and already have.
VERY disappointed. I will stick to my 99 cent version of a similar app. I bought the 99 cent version of this app and loved it! Thinking this 20 dollar one would be amazing, I made the purchase. Wow was I let down. The videos took too long to build/load, which would upload to a server account, it took too long to cancel out a recording you didnt want to use and get the camera ready for the next pitch, the lines used to draw are way too thick and obstruct view, the reference lines need angle measurement. These are just the points I remember. I tried to get iTunes to reimburse me for the app purchase WITHIN 24 HOURS! and they told me I need to go through insta-pro. I contacted insta-pro, and they told me I need to go through iTunes. Disappointed from the time I hit "install". I dont expect to see this review posted, but if it does, heed my warning.
